Our hands-on at-home activities and in-person workshops encourage kids to ask questions about food and cooking and explore the answers through investigation🔍
The activities are designed for kids aged 8 to 12 but everyone’s more than welcome to join the fun!😊
Activities & Workshops
At-Home Activities
We’re developing fun, hands-on activities that let you and your kids explore the science of food right from your kitchen!✨
-
Discover something new in each activity!
Each activity explores a new food or cooking technique and lets chefstigators dive deep into the science (the why) behind how it works.
-
Ask curious questions like:
Where does our food come from?
What happens when we cook it?
How can we eat more sustainably?
-
Investigate the answers by experimenting, thinking about the science behind food, and having fun along the way!
Join our monthly tester community!
We’re looking for families to test our activities and help us make them as fun and accessible as possible 🍋
Become an activity tester for just £3/month!
In-Person Workshops
We’re running all-inclusive 2-hour workshops for chefstigators to create and investigate alongside other curious kids! All the perks of the at-home activities plus added benefits✨
-
Chefstigators sharpen their cooking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills in a fun and supportive environment✨
-
Chefstigators dive deep into a cooking technique and the underlying science during each 2-hour workshop✨
Kids are encouraged to come up with their own questions and test their hypotheses!
-
After all the hard work, kids can either enjoy their tasty creations on the spot or take them home to share✨
Pre-register for our next workshops!
We’re partnering up with Hackney School of Food for our next sessions — let us know here if you would like to attend and we’ll be in touch✨
